Mrs. Kelly Walker
Principal
I am so honored to be a part of the Bruce Drysdale School community. The students, parents, teachers, and staff members at BDS work tirelessly to ensure that we are following the school’s mission:
We, at Bruce Drysdale School, are here to foster learning in a child-centered atmosphere. We believe learning to be a series of mental, physical, emotional and social experiences which center around success on an individual basis. We will provide all students with the opportunity to learn and encouragement to succeed. We will honor the individual and nurture the potential of all children.
Bruce Drysdale School meets children where they are and seeks, through high quality classroom instruction, small group and individualized support, and enrichment and remediation opportunities, to help every child reach his/her potential. As parents and guardians, we hope that you will continue to support our endeavors by monitoring your student’s academic achievement, maintaining open, respectful communication with your student’s teachers, and promoting a supportive attitude toward school in your home.
The home/school relationship is the most important one in these formative years. At BDS, we work together, using best practices, to teach students academic and social skills that will allow them to succeed in school and in life!
We value your input and welcome your support in regards to your child’s education.
I hope you will feel welcomed at BDS, whether you are eating in the cafeteria, volunteering in a classroom, or picking your child up at the end of the day.
